Video production in Bristol that comes to you

Brand films, social and short-form, event, product, recruitment and animation. We bring the crew, the cameras and the multi-camera kit to wherever you want to film, then edit, grade and finish in Bristol. One team, from the brief to the published asset.

Search video production Bristol and you get thirty companies claiming to be here, and most of them will ask you to find a room. We do the opposite. Earworm is a Bristol video production company with its own crew, its own multi-camera kit and its own post-production suites, and the kit comes to you: cameras, lighting, sound and set arrive at your office, your warehouse or a space you have borrowed for the day, and your team carries on with their morning until we are ready for them. The edit, grade and audio happen back in Bristol. We work this way for brands including KPMG, IG Group, Soldo, Experian, Cisco, Infobip and Pulsetto. Brand films, social and short-form, event coverage, product and recruitment films, animation and interview series, made by one team rather than a relay of freelancers you never meet.

How a Bristol video production project runs

Five stages, one producer who owns all of them. You get a straight answer at every step, and nothing falls down the gap between a crew, a freelance editor and whoever in marketing had a spare afternoon.

    01

    Brief

What the film has to do, for whom, and where it will be seen. Agreed in writing before we quote a number.

    02

    Pre-production

Script, questions, shot list, schedule, permissions and casting. Location chosen to fit the brief: your office, a space you already have, or a room we book for the day.

    03

    Shoot

Multi-camera at your offices, on location across the city, or in a room we arrange for the day. Your people turn up and talk. We rig, run and clear everything else.

    04

    Edit and grade

Hero film, cut-downs, captions, motion graphics, sound and colour, reviewed with you at rough cut and fine cut.

    05

    Delivery

Every aspect ratio your channels need, plus subtitles, stills and thumbnails, handed over ready to publish.

One day in the diary should not produce one upload. We plan each Bristol shoot so the same footage yields a hero film, a bank of vertical clips, quote cards and stills.

    What we film in Bristol

    Brand films

The film that says who you are and why anyone should care. Scripted, shot properly, cut to hold attention past the first five seconds, and built to anchor a campaign rather than sit unwatched on a homepage. Our full production offer sits on the video production agency page.

    Social and short-form

Vertical video planned at the brief stage, not rescued in the edit. Captioned clips, quote cards, hooks and short edits for LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Reels, delivered on a schedule your channels can actually keep to.

    Event and conference films

Keynotes, panels, awards and the conversations in the corridor, covered across Bristol venues and beyond. You get a highlight film for next year's promotion, speaker cut-downs for the speakers themselves, and a clips bank that keeps the event alive for months.

    Product and demo films

Showing the thing working, clearly, without a voiceover full of adjectives. Tabletop and macro on a set we build on the day, in-situ filming on your site, screen capture and motion where the interface is the product.

    Recruitment and employer brand

Films that show candidates what a Tuesday actually looks like: real teams, real desks, real answers to the questions they are afraid to ask at interview. Filmed at your offices so nothing looks borrowed.

    Animation and motion graphics

When the product is invisible, the process is complicated or the footage does not exist, animation does what a camera cannot. Explainers, motion graphics, data visualisation and hybrid live-action builds. If you have been looking for an animation company in Bristol as well as a film crew, it is the same team and the same brief.

B2B, internal comms and training video

Town halls, internal announcements, training modules, executive interviews and case-study films for buying committees rather than crowds. That side of the work has its own page: corporate video production in Bristol.

    Let's talk

Where we film in Bristol, and where the edit happens

We film all over the city and the region: offices in the centre and Temple Quarter, homes and consulting rooms in Clifton, warehouses and workshops in Bedminster, plus sites across the South West and the rest of the UK. The kit travels with the crew, so the shoot happens where your people already are rather than costing each of them half a day in transit. With the M32 feeding straight onto the M4 and M5, a Bristol crew is on site in Bath, Cardiff, Swindon or Exeter inside the morning, and London is a routine day out. Editing, grading, sound and strategy then happen at our Bristol post-production studio. If the story is somewhere else, so are we.

Freelance videographer vs a full production team

Both are legitimate choices and we would rather you picked the right one. Bristol has excellent freelance videographers, and for a single straightforward asset they are usually better value than we are. The difference shows up when the video has to carry a campaign, several channels and a brand's reputation.

Series made by the Bristol team

Two long-running interview formats produced by the same crew, producers and edit suites that run every project on this page. Both were built the same way: one recording day planned to feed a quarter of content, across video, audio and social.

    Video production Bristol FAQs

Honest UK market bands rather than one number, because the honest answer is that it depends on shoot days and finish. A solo operator is commonly £500 to £900 a day. A full crew of director, camera operator, sound and lighting is usually £2,500 to £5,000 a day before kit, and editing is often charged separately at roughly £350 to £600 per editor day. By project type, customer stories and testimonials tend to land between £3,000 and £10,000, event films between £2,500 and £8,000 per event day, animated explainers between £3,000 and £15,000, and flagship brand films from £8,000 upwards. Working in Bristol takes the London studio premium and the crew travel and accommodation off the top of every one of those numbers. Earworm quotes per project after one scoping call, with the deliverables written down, so you are comparing like with like. Our UK cost guide, linked below, breaks it down by video type.

Length is the wrong unit. A three minute film shot in one location on one day, with a small crew and a proper edit, commonly sits somewhere between £3,000 and £10,000 in the UK. The same three minutes across four locations, with a presenter, drone work, licensed music and animated sequences, can be £8,000 to £30,000 or more, because you are paying for shoot days and post, not running time. Ask any company quoting you to show the shoot days, crew and edit days behind the figure. If they will not, the number is not really a quote.

In the commercial and brand world a producer is usually built into the project fee rather than hired separately, because the producer is the person keeping the budget honest. Where producers are day-rated, UK commercial rates are broadly in line with senior crew, in the region of £350 to £700 a day, with broadcast and long-form drama working to different scales entirely. On our projects the producer is included: one named person who owns the brief, the schedule, the shoot and the delivery, and who you can phone.

Start with the job, not the film. Write down what has to change as a result of the video, who needs to see it and where it will live, then send that to three companies and see who asks the better questions. Ask to see work in your format rather than a showreel of everything, ask who is actually on the shoot and who edits it, ask how many finished assets the quote includes, and ask what happens if you hate the first cut. Then ask where the filming will actually happen and who is responsible for making that space work on the day. A company that expects you to find, book and pay for a room is quoting you for half the job.

A serious one. Bristol was named a UNESCO City of Film in 2017, and the city is home to the BBC Natural History Unit, Aardman Animations and The Bottle Yard Studios, the largest studio facility in the West of England. That means a deep local pool of crew, kit houses, post facilities and colourists, which is a practical advantage when you are booking a shoot here rather than a piece of civic trivia. To be clear about what we are: we make brand, marketing and B2B video, not natural history or drama. We just benefit from the same talent pool.

Four to six weeks from brief to final file is typical for a single film: one to two weeks of pre-production, the shoot day, then two to three weeks of edit, grade and revisions. Social cut-downs from the same shoot usually land in the first week after filming. Event and announcement work can move much faster when we agree the edit plan before the camera comes out, and a same-week turnaround is possible if that is the requirement.

Yes, and we plan for them before the shoot rather than cropping in a panic afterwards. That means framing with a safe area for vertical, capturing extra b-roll for cutaways, and writing questions that produce clips as well as a narrative. You get the hero film plus captioned verticals, square versions, stills and thumbnails as standard.

Yes. Explainers, motion graphics, titles, data visualisation and hybrid pieces that mix live action with animated sequences, all produced by the same team that shoots the footage. It is often the cheaper answer when the subject is a process, a piece of software or a future state that cannot be filmed. If animation is the whole project rather than part of one, our animated video page goes into more detail.

You do, everywhere, for as long as you like. Full usage across web, social, paid, events and internal channels is included, with no per-channel licensing or re-use fees. We archive the rushes, so a cut you need in eighteen months does not mean another shoot day. Third-party music and any contributor releases are the only things with their own terms, and we set those out in the quote.

Three things, and one of them is unglamorous. We work in B2B, so the first question is what the film has to move rather than how it should look. Our core product is the repeatable series, which means we plan a shoot day to produce a quarter of content instead of one upload. And we bring the studio to you: our own kit and our own crew turn up wherever you want to film, so there is no room hire on the invoice and nobody loses half a day crossing a city to sit in front of a camera. The edit, grade and audio then happen in our own Bristol post-production suites rather than being handed to someone who has never spoken to the crew.

    Let's make something in Bristol.

Bring the job the video needs to do. We will bring a producer, a plan, a fixed price and, on the day, the whole kit. Tell us where you would like to film.
